Marco Hennings – Biography

Marco Hennings was born in 1969 in Hamburg, Germany, and began his professional career as a chef. At the age of 16, he started his vocational training, but in the early 1990s, he suffered a severe burnout. This experience became a turning point in his life.
In search of healing and inner balance, Marco explored various alternative healing methods. During this journey, he discovered the art of Reiki (Reiki Do), which not only deeply impressed him but also helped him overcome his burnout. These positive experiences motivated him to learn Reiki himself, eventually becoming both a Reiki Master and Teacher.
Since his youth, Marco has also been fascinated by martial arts. For over three decades, he was active as a martial artist, achieving numerous successes. In 1992, for example, he became the Northern German Champion in semi-contact kickboxing. Later, he combined his martial arts experience with Reiki Do and in 2008 developed the Spirit-Fighter project—a heartfelt initiative that uses Reiki as a tool in violence prevention for difficult-to-reach and delinquent youth.
Today, Marco supports both young people and adults in developing love and recognition for themselves and others. His approach focuses on overcoming fear, guilt, anger, and violence.
Another formative stage in Marco’s life was his training as a spiritual healer under the renowned English healer Malcolm Southwood. Through this mentorship, Marco gained new insights and a deep understanding of the remarkable world of English spiritual healing. He now applies this knowledge to help people facing physical, psychological, or spiritual challenges.

Marco conducts seminars in Reiki and English spiritual healing and delivers lectures on violence prevention and healing. He emphasizes clarity and groundedness in his teachings, avoiding unnecessary mystification. His work is characterized by a strong connection between spirituality and practical application.
